Festival de Samba-Session 1959 Mug
This design pays homage to a moment of Brazilian music history. On September 22, 1959 the first "Samba-Session" festival was held at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. This festival is recognized as the first gathering of musicians of Brazil's new sound known as bossa nova. Bossa nova legends Nara Leão, Carlinhos Lyra and Roberto Menescal, just to name a few, performed at this festival.
